Dr. To Yeuk Hung invited Dr. Yau Yat, Director of the Academy of Chinese Studies as our guest speaker at “Sun Tzu's Art of Intelligence and Chinese Culture” lecture on March 20, 2026. "Sun Tzu's Art of War" is a military classic that has been circulated for thousands of years in the Chinese context and is world-renowned. It is still regarded as a guideline by all walks of life. This work is not an isolated military book. It is deeply rooted in the fertile soil of traditional Chinese culture. It relies on the organizational form, governance system and personnel management system of ancient large-scale farming societies to condense the core of wisdom that conforms to the laws of social operation. It abandons empty talk, sees the nature of competition from a pragmatic perspective, and incorporates pragmatic thinking throughout, from strategic layout to tactical execution, from overall planning to detail control, every sentence gets to the core and every word demonstrates wisdom. The thinking and decision-making logic contained in it have long transcended the military field and become an important guide for governance, business operations, and human conduct, demonstrating the profound heritage and strong vitality of Chinese culture. On the day of the lecture, Dr. Yau delivered an engaging presentation. The audience listened attentively and was highly engaged. During the Q&A session, students asked various questions related to the topic and interacted with Dr. Yau.
